Products That Save Time
When cleaning and turning over between guests, every minute counts, especially if you are hosting new guests the same night after a morning check out. Here are some of my favorite products that save me a few minutes here and there every turn.
- Duvet covers with zippers, not buttons or snaps
- Quick drying sheets, towels, and blankets
- Bonus tip: these are the exact flat sheets, fitted sheets, and pillow cases I have been using for years. I dress the bed, then leave an extra set (just in case guests staying longer than a week would like to be able to put new sheets on themselves without having to do a load of laundry). Then, since these come in packs of 6, I always have a couple of clean sets available for quicker turnovers.
- Dark gray wash cloths (not white!)
- Bonus tip: I found that black coloring fades over a short period of time and they start to look old. They gray have continued to look good for more than a year.
- Double-hook shower curtain “rings”
- Bonus tip: don’t waste money on the clear plastic shower curtain liners. Buy two fabric liners so there will always be a back up clean one on hand for quick swaps when dirty (make sure they have metal grommets and not just embroidered holes!)
